For everything awesome about the Freelancer Mod 88Flak, the one thing that irks me the most is the uninspired rare weapons. So instead of bitching at the creator to redo them, I decided to get my feet wet and work on them myself.

Now one would assume this would be an easy feat, but it's made hard by the shear lack of information on even the basics of modifying the game. Even after searching every major forum I had turned up nearly nothing on the basics other then the Fire Rates for the guns. Looking at the Data files proved even harder as they all were just a jumble of information and had no identifying marks to what they were within the game. I had nearly given up until I stumbled upon what I was looking for, the Rare guns.

Now I had assumed at the beginning of all this that any Modding community would have at least put out a basic tutorial for weapon creation or even what some of the settings were, but that wasn't the case for Freelancer. Nothing is written down or shared unless asked (even that isn't certain) and that disappoints me to no end.

Now that I spent the last 10 minutes ranting over the shear annoyance of the Freelancer Modding Community, I can get to work.
